Parks & Trails

Rich in outdoor recreational resources, the City of Riverside is a popular destination for the many parks, trails, water access and greenspace. Riverside welcomes and encourages everyone to visit our parks for year around fun!

The City has four major parks, each with different activities for every season of the year; whether its organized sports such as baseball, softball, soccer or football, playing on the swing sets or just a leisure walk to enjoy the scenery, our parks offer something for everyone.

In addition to our City parks, you’ll find convenient access to one of the neighboring Five River Metro Parks.

Did you know that you can tour many of the trails and even the Mad River Run virtually? Google has added thousands of images that allow you to see, ride, boat and hike an area on your computer or device. Check out a kayak trip at Mad River Run in Eastwood MetroPark.

Park Shelter Rental

• Park shelter reservations are available for Rohrer Park, Community Park and Shellabarger Park on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations will open on January 1 each year.
• A completed park shelter reservation form must be submitted with the rental fee. Proof of residency will be required to determine the fee amount. Applications can be submitted in person or emailed to Parks@riversideoh.gov. Fees can be paid with credit card, cash, checks made payable to the City of Riverside.
  1. Rental fee for Riverside Residents is $15
  2. Rental fee for Non-Residents is $25
• Reservations will not be confirmed until the rental fee has been received.
• Park shelters are available for partial and full day reservations.

Field Rental 

• Field rental reservations are available for Rohrer Park and Shellbarger Park. Reservations will open January 1 each year.
• All field reservation applications have a fee of $50 per season. Applications are available upon request at City Hall and fees can be paid with cash or check. A completed field reservation form must be submitted with the application fee.
• Reservations will not be confirmed until the application fee has been received.
• Field rentals are available for partial and full day reservations.
