Public Notice to Riverside Residents and Property Owners
With spring now officially here, trees and flowers will be blooming, and grass and weeds will be growing. The City of Riverside Codified Ordinances Section 1331.07 outlines the responsibilities for property maintenance stating that all properties within the City of Riverside shall keep their property free of noxious weeds and high grass. Should the owner of the property fail to comply with Section 1331.07, the City will cut the high grass or abate the noxious vegetation at the owner’s expense.
The Code Enforcement Officer may give notice of violation in writing by posting to the property. The resident or property owner shall cut the grass or noxious vegetation within five (5) days after being served the notice of violation.
